【演讲内容简介】

亚特兰大世贸中心在2005举办了第一届中国春节商务论坛和交流酒会，到今年已进入了第十六个春秋。今年的商务论坛将由亚特兰大世界贸易中心，卡特中心及中国研究中心联合举办。近年来，中美关系跌宕起伏，来势汹汹的新冠疫情，中美贸易战，美国对中国高科技公司及技术的制裁和限制，美国总统大选，新一届政府对接下来中美的合作与竞争关系采取的相应措施，世贸中心春节商务论坛组委会以此为契机，联系深谙中美关系的专家学者举办此次年度讨论会。本次论坛的主题是：美中关系–新的挑战，新的机遇（US-China Relations: New Challenges, New Opportunities）。论坛涉及的领域包括：贸易、教育、科技、商务和投资。

 Frank Neville is Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In this capacity he is responsible for crafting overall university strategy, overseeing progress toward university strategic goals, and coordinating the work of the senior team.
 At George Mason University he served as Chief of Staff and was concurrently Vice President for Communications and Marketing for the last two years of his tenure. As Chief of Staff, he provided day-to-day oversight for university counsel, internal audit, and intercollegiate athletics. He also served as board chair and then vice chair for Mason Korea, LLC, which governs the university’s campus in Incheon, South Korea. As an adjunct faculty member in the School of Business, he taught regular courses on cross-cultural management and global business.
 Prior to joining Mason, Mr. Neville was Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Thunderbird School of Global Management. In that role he was responsible for the school’s global reputation and rankings while also overseeing the school’s advisory boards and managing a diverse global outreach and business development portfolio.
    Prior to joining Thunderbird, Mr. Neville was a career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State. He served in Taipei, Chengdu, Guatemala City, and Beijing. As a diplomat, he appeared on Nightline, The Today Show, 20/20, CNBC, CNN, BBC and many other programs in defense of U.S. policies. He has given hundreds of presentations in Chinese, Spanish, and English to audiences in Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. While at State, he achieved the highest levels of proficiency possible for a non-native speaker in Spanish and Mandarin. In Beijing he helped design and execute U.S. public affairs strategy during the 2001 EP-3 hostage crisis and led the public defense of U.S. policy toward Iraq in preparation for U.S. military action in 2003. At the time of his resignation, Mr. Neville was the most decorated Foreign Service Officer under 40 years of age.
    Mr. Neville also worked in the Secretary of Defense’s Office of Chinese Affairs and served on a Pearson Fellowship, first with the City of Nogales and then in the Office of the Governor of Arizona, Janet Napolitano.
